Mrs. Wilma Jean Clarke

Mrs. Wilma Jean Clarke, age 73, of Hoschton passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012. Jean was a lover of music and enjoyed playing the piano for her Sunday School class and singing in a gospel quartet in her youth. Though she was crippled and confined to a wheel chair, she walked in faith with the Lord. She is survived by her husband Tom Clarke of 53 wonderful years of marriage; sons Rick Clarke and wife Julie; Brian Clarke and wife Kristie; daughter Karla Branch and husband Dan; grandchildren Thomas Branch, Rebekah Branch, Courtney Clarke, Brianna Clarke and Ivey Clarke; sister Sarah Rakestraw of Madison, NC. Mrs. Clarke was born in Tyrone, Georgia on a farm to the late Ivey and Myrtice Flowers Jones of Fayette County. She is also preceded in death by her sister Frances Hornbuckle and brother Buford Marvin Jones. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Hoschton United Methodist Church, 12 Mulberry Drive with the Rev. Luis Ortiz officiating. The family will receive friends 7:00pm to 9:00pm Monday, February 13, 2012 at Lawson Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends at 10:00 am prior to funeral services on Tuesday at Hoschton United Methodist Church. Interment will be held at Crestlawn Cemetery in Atlanta, GA.
