Joseph Walton Hagan, age 72 of Hoschton formerly of Statesboro passed away Saturday February 8, 2014. Joseph was an United States Air Force Veteran. He was an engineer with General Motors for 33 years where he received various awards. His years at General Motors included work at the Lakewood Manufacturing Plant, General Motors Plant in Doraville, and later transferring to the Saturn Plant in Springhill, TN. From there he worked at various General Motor Plants in Detroit, MI and then retired from the General Motors Corvette Plant in Bowling Green, KY. He is survived by his wife Connie Armes Hagan of Hoschton; son Michael Allen Hagan and wife Jan of Dacula, daughter Karen Lyn Hagan and husband Joe Dale of Macon; step sons William Russell Stewart and wife Kelley of NC, Charles Robert Stewart and wife Amy of NC; sister Nell Batchelor and husband Robert of Eatonton; and grandchildren Olivia, Ashton, Russell, Rylie and Skyler. A Memorial Service will held 10:30 am Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church, 4 South Zetterower Ave, Statesboro, GA. Officiating will be Chaplain Jerry Newsome. Inurnment Services will be held at Eastside Cemetery with United States Air Force Honors.
