  1. I had the honor of knowing Tom when I worked at the Oaks at Braselton. It was only for 3 short months, but in those 3 months, I felt like I had gained a grandfather. He always made me smile and always made me laugh, and I loved always hearing him sing. Every time I would walk into work, he would see me and say “Hey girl, how are you?” No matter what kind of mood I was in, whether I wasn’t feeling good, or just having a bad day, he always made my day better. Every night at dinner, he would tell people who I was and that I was his buddy, even if everyone already knew. He would then always ask me “I’ve got your back and you’ve got my back, right?” I just wish I would have told him that I was leaving and pursuing career somewhere else. I can’t stop thinking about him and I regret not saying goodbye. Rest in Peace my friend.
