Barbara Bridges Lamar, age 72, of Winder passed away Friday, May 18, 2018. Mrs. Lamar loved life, her family, antique shopping, sewing, fishing and the beach. She is survived by her husband Abner Turner Lamar; daughters Rita Swain of Florida, Barbara Bauer, Lynn “Beany” Edmondson, Elizabeth Arnold all of Cumming; sons Shane Lamar and wife Amanda of Winder, Raymond G. Bridges and Franco Cavalcanti of Marietta; sisters Nancy Hardy and Marilyn Sweat and husband J.T. all of Winder; 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents Ezra and Rosa Nell Wilson and son John Lamar. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. William Blackwell will be officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, May 21, 2018 and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the funeral home.
