Betty Ruth Potts, age 78, of Braselton passed away Friday, November 2, 2018. Survivors include her son Keith Pethel; daughter Karen Allen and wife Leslie, adopted daughters Nikole Beck and husband Tony, Peggy and husband Rev. James Kennaday; 5 brothers and 6 sisters, grandchildren Zack Pethel, Mandi Belin, Sabrina LaCount, Hope Beck, Faith Beck and Dylan Beck; 10 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents Homer Carter and Viola Wright; son Stevie Pethel; 3 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Jason Walls, Rev. Danny Peeks and Herman Brock will be officiating. Interment to follow at Church of God of Prophecy of Braselton, 137 Ednaville Road, Braselton, GA, 30517. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers love offerings may be donated to the family.
