Christopher Michael Harkins

Christopher Michael Harkins, age 36, of Winder passed away Saturday, June 1, 2019.  Chris loved his children, family and friends.  He was a huge Alabama football fan and loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.  His favorite hobbies were dirt track racing, cooking, fishing and hunting. Survivors include his wife Shanna Harkins of Winder; parents Mike Gay of Auburn and Charlotte Davidson Gay of AL;  son Seth Hall of Nicholson; daughters Miranda Peppers of Winder, Jayden Hall of Nicholson and Kara Harkins of Winder; brother Terry Manus and wife Marsha of Dublin; sisters Courtney Gay of AL and Morgan Fulcher and husband Nicholas of Winder; niece Cheyenne, nephews Tereck and Lyle and a host of other relatives. Memorial services will be held 5:00 pm Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Calvin Gooch will be officiating.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the funeral home.   1. Chris will be missed, when I first met him it seemed like we had known each other for years. He always seemed to have a smile even if things weren’t perfect or going the greatest. God’s speed Chris, Rest in Peace.

  2. My heart & prayers go out to Shanna & children!! Although it was not mentioned. His biological dad was Charles W Darnell! I pray Chris did not suffer from this accident. May he RIP in a better place! Gone but not forgotten!!!!!!

  3. I miss my dad very much he was the best hope he would have lived longer . I feel bad for my sister Kara she will not have as many memories with her dad . I feel bad for all family members.
