Dale Fredrick Stewart, age 95, of Hoschton, GA passed away Friday, October 8, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton after a short illness. Dale received his Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Colorado University and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from CalTech. Early in his career, he worked with Hughes Aviation where he saw the Spruce Goose fly and was able to meet Howard Hughes. He loved the field of computing, working as a Data Center Manager and later as the Director of Data Processing at Purdue University North Central from which he retired. He also taught classes on programming and networking. After retirement, he and his wife of 42 years worked with Wycliffe Bible Translators for more than a dozen years. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ above everything else and was looking forward to eternity in heaven. Survivors include his wife Sue Stewart of Georgia; sons Jono Stewart of New Mexico, Jim Stewart and wife Amitee of Oregon, Thom Keeton and wife Jenica of Alaska; daughters Sharon Cox and husband David of Illinois, Amy Wagner and husband Mark and Joyce Keeton all of Georgia; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. I loved my dad dearly, and regret not spending more time with him. I praise God he is home, pain free, and able to bask in the joy he so richly deserves.
