Dr. Gary L. Farrow, age 63, of Hoschton, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton. Dr. Farrow was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan, and was the son of the late Richard Farrow and the late Wilma Farrow. He was dedicated to the Lord, his wife and family. He was a member of St. Simons First Baptist Church and a watch care member of Gainesville First Baptist Church. Dr. Farrow was an Optometrist. He owned an optometry practice connected to Lenscrafters where he practiced optometry in the Snellville area. He was well known by his staff and fellow colleagues to be an outstanding optometrist. Dr. Farrow held a B.S. degree in BioChemistry and a Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was survived by his wife of 25 years Rebecca Ray Farrow of Hoschton; brothers Michael Farrow and wife Suzanne of NV, Leslie Farrow of NY, Don Farrow and family of VA, Bob Farrow of CA; sister Laurie Anton and family of FL, Barbara Garrison and family of FL; nieces Shawn Mazelin and family of IN, Tiffany Newton of FL; nephews Mark Farrow and Mike Farrow of FL, Bret Farrow of NJ and a host of other relatives. Funeral services will be held 5:00 pm Friday, April 10, 2015 at Celebration Church, 5560 Thompson Mill Road, Hoschton, GA, 30548. Rev. Mike Day and Rev. Allen Mazelin will be officiating. Interment will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Sunset Cemetery, Valley River Avenue, Murphy, NC, 28906.
