Garland Palmer Dennis, age 68, of Winder passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019. Garland was born in Anniston, AL. He was a 1969 Walter Wellborn High School graduate. Mr. Dennis was a Southern Baptist ordained deacon. He was a member of the GWRRA. Mr. Dennis was the Chapter Director for 8 years in Deltona, FL. Upon moving to Georgia, he joined the Georgia District Staff. Survivors include his high school sweetheart of 48 years, Charleen Ray Dennis; son Jeffrey Dennis; daughter Angela Gober; sister Diann Baldwin; grandchildren Mattie Gober, Jessie Gober, Zechariah Dennis and Henry Dennis; and a host of other relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Mattie Palmer Dennis. A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Winder Women’s Club, 15 W Midland Ave., Winder, GA, 30680 .
