Jimmy Ray Wright, age 74, of Jefferson passed away Monday, February 3, 2020. Jimmy loved his church, loved music, gardening. Jimmy worked at Gold Kist for 37 and half years. Survivors include wife Belinda Wright; sons Nich Wright of Jefferson, Frankie Wright of Jefferson, Jimmy Wright Jr. of Jefferson; daughters Sheila Wright of Maysville, Amelia Wright of Hoschton; sisters Betty Whitlock and husband Jerry from Jefferson, Elizabeth Champion and husband Bobby from North Carolina. Host of nieces and nephews. Grandchildren Angela, Jonathan, Joseph, Kayla, Hannah, Mackenzie, Kamrin, Ray, Rebecca, Frankie Jr.; great grandchildren Trevor, Brodie, Karlee, Solomon, Peyton, Sawyer Jimmy is preceded in death by his sister Mildred Wright. Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Bo Whisnant will be officiating. Interment to follow at Dry Pond United Methodist Church Cemetery, 10 Plainview Road, Maysville, GA 30558. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at the funeral home.
