John Harper, age 60, passed away October 15, 2011, at his home in Winder, GA after months of battling brain cancer. He attended Monroe High School and graduated in 1970. He continued his education at Dekalb Technical College and graduated with an associate’s degree in Technical Drawing. John worked many years as a gifted artist and auto mechanic. He is survived by his loving children, Mendalyn Harper, Jeb Harper, Jesse Harper, daughter-in-law, Amber Harper, Granddaughter Reihgan Harper, sister Mary Buff, niece Amy buff and countless friends. At his request, a funeral service will not be held, but instead a Celebration of Life Ceremony at the Winder Moose Lodge located at 434 Highway 211 NW, Winder, GA 30680 on Saturday, October 29, from 1:00-3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Winder Moose Lodge where Mr. Harper was very active in many charity events.
