Michael “Mike” Scott Dorsey, age 51, of Jefferson passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018. He loved life, cooking, NASCAR, and the beach. Survivors include his wife Connie Cochran; daughters Erin Dorsey of Bryson City, N.C., Breanna Dorsey of Jefferson, and Katie Cochran of Jefferson; sisters Sue Turk of Braselton, Patty Boggs of Hoschton, Moria Evans and husband Johnny of Leola, AR; and grandchildren Wahya, Kyra, and Noah. He is preceded in death by his father Herman Dorsey and mother Geraldine Dorsey; brother Jeff “JD” Dorsey. Memorial services will be held 4:00 pm Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
