Perry Lynn Burgess

Perry Lynn Burgess , age 56, of Jefferson went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. He was proceeded in death by his mother and father Catherine and Jimmy Stowe and his son Jeremiah Dills. Survivors include his wife Angie Burgess; his sons Jesse and Josiah; three grandchildren Reece, Tripp and Cole. Perry was called to preach in 1992. Perry and his wife, Angie, began a full time ministry in 1998. He preached in churches, jails, prisons and drug rehabilitation centers. He and his wife had a homeless ministry, Walk on Water, in Athens, GA for ten years. He also ministered to those at the Potter’s House for twelve years. He served as a chaplain for the Commerce City Police Department for 2 years. He also preached in El Salvador in the prisons and ministered in the orphanages. Perry began serving as a pastor in 2004. He was currently serving as the Pastor of Walk on Water Church in Jefferson, GA.   Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Lighthouse  World Outreach Center, 609 Gene Bell Road, Monroe, GA, 30655. Pastor Raymond and Cindy Hardy and Dr. Robert O’Neal will be officiating.
