Romero Fernandez, age 49, of Bethlehem was born on January 9, 1966 in Olongopo City, Sadica Bay Philippines. He moved to America with his mother Lailani in 1972 at the age of 4. Growing up in Minnesota, he found his place to shine in anything athletic. He excelled at track, football and especially wrestling. In high school, he was MN State champion twice for wrestling. Romero was very much loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his mother and stepfather Lailani and Jeff Scott; daughter Carly Gill; son Romero Blaine Fernandez; sisters Gina Blair, Margie Olgesby and Barbara Adams; girlfriend Robin Smith; stepchildren Brianna and Christopher; niece Desiree Shultz; nephew Dylan Shultz and countless friends. A memorial service will be held 5:30 pm Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Buford Church of God, 4800 S. Lee Street, Buford, GA, 30518.
