Roy “Rooster” Lee Nix, age 78, of Loganville passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021. Mr. Nix enjoyed fishing, browsing flea markets, attending auctions, collecting knives and some trading. He also loved motorsports. Survivors include his wife LaFrieda Nix; sons Henry Nix and wife Rachel of Monroe, Wayne Nix and wife Carrie of Loganville; daughter Deborah Nix of Loganville; brothers Richard Nix and wife Paula of High Falls and Bill Nix of Griffin; sisters Diane Rogers of Chatsworth, Beaddie Parker and husband Clark of Griffin and Irene Rawls and husband Richard of Jonesboro; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Ruth Hartsfield Nix; brothers Gene Johnson and Lewis Nix. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday, May 3, 2021 at Mulberry Baptist Church, 5970 Thompson Mill Road, Hoschton, GA 30548. Rev. Everest Carlisle will be officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the church.
