Shirley “Coleen” Holland, born on February 12, 1943, went to be with the Lord and her precious daughter on Wednesday, August 14th, 2024. A woman of deep faith and boundless love, Coleen’s life was dedicated to her family, friends, and the love she shared with those around her.
She was the cherished wife of Albert Wayne Holland, with whom she shared 61 years of love and companionship. Their marriage was a testament to enduring devotion, filled with countless memories and unwavering support for one another. Together, they raised a loving family, including her daughter, Sussette Holland Aderhold (Michael), son, Wayne Clark Holland (Tammy), and her daughter, Marcy Holland Florey (Christopher).
Coleen’s grandchildren—Houston, William, Caitlyn, Ashleigh, Landon, Jaxson, Jansen, Jace, and Jessa—were her greatest joy. Her love for them was immeasurable, and she found immense happiness in nurturing and guiding them.
Coleen is survived by her dear sister, Joann Green, and her sisters-in-law, Vicki Holland Burch (Doris) and Katrina Holland Cotney (Don). She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who were close to her heart.
She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Susette Holland Aderhold; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Doss R. Baisden; her brothers, William Doss Baisden and Herman Ray Baisden; her sister, Myrtle “Bobby” Jarrell; and her sweet nephew, Joshua David Griffin. Coleen is now reunited with them in the loving arms of the Lord.
Coleen’s legacy is one of love, faith, and enduring devotion to those she held dear. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, August 17, 2024, at the funeral home. Interment to follow on 9:30 am, Monday, August 19, 2024, at Georgia National Cemetery.
