Terry Allen Scroggs, age 71, of Decatur, Ga., born July 21, 1948 entered the gates of Glory March, 26, 2020. He lost his battle with pancreatic cancer after only six months after he was diagnosed. He was a loving husband, father and grandpa. He served in the US Airforce for four years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He earned a BA double major degree In accounting and business administration and a Masters Degree in insurance. He had a 40+ year career in surety and fidelity bonds and owned his own business. He loved fishing and boating and family life. He was a member of the People’s Baptist Church in Tucker, Ga. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Delores; daughter Debbie Woodard and husband Ben; daughter Andrea Jayaraman and husband Siva; six grandchildren Ryan, Matthew, Garrett and Caden Woodard, Aadi and Layla Jayaraman; one brother Charles Ricky Scroggs of Augusta, Ga and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He lost one son, Timothy, and two brothers, Larry and Michael Scroggs. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation at P.O. Box 1848, Longmont, CO 80502. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday, March 30, 2020 at Walnut Fork Baptist Church, 557 GA 60, Hoschton, Ga., The family will receive friends one hour prior at the church.
