VyLynda Faye South

Vylynda Faye South, age 77, of Atlanta passed away Monday, June 7, 2021.  Vylynda was a great mom, full of love and wisdom.   She enjoyed traveling and singing on television and in churches all over the south with her son Richard and The Power Singers.   She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great granchildren.  She was a mighty inspiration to all that knew her and will be missed.  Survivors include her sons Bobby R. South, Jr. and wife Alison of Chamblee, Richard H. South of Doraville, Ronny South and wife Leslie of Commerce and Ryan South of North Carolina; sisters Cathy Wiggins of Chamblee, Nancy Romero and husband David of Tucker; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; aunts Betty Sue Allen of Hogansville and Barbara Jean Smith of LaGrange and a host of other relatives.  She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Rance South, Sr.; parents Marshall and Mary Holybee and sister Judy Strickland.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel.  Pastor Brandon South and Jordan South will be officiating.  Interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Duluth, GA.  The family will receive friends 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm Thursday, June 10, 2021 at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Richard South Ministries, P.O.
