Wanda Denise Powell, age 54, of Conyers passed away Friday, January 23, 2015. Ms. Powell was a Southwest DeKalb High School graduate. She was an inspiration to her family, friends and many others. She was a fighter, loved life and was a big Falcons’ fan. Ms. Powell loved her job with Tim Hunter and Associates. Ms. Powell participated in several fund walks for Breast Cancer Awareness. She was survived by her son Dustin Powell of Conyers; mother Hilda Bryson of Conyers; sisters Connie Burgin and husband Berry of AL, Wendy Rowe and husband Michael of Greensboro, Tammy Holloway and husband Scott of Dallas; brother Wally Bryson and wife Renza of Jefferson; a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her father Walter L. Bryson and brother Teddie Denson. Memorial Services will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Bethel Christian Church, 1930 Bethel Road NE, Conyers, GA 30012. Pastor Danny Sorrells and Pastor Ken Stokes will be officiating. The family will receive friends 1:00 to 3:00 pm Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the church.
