William “Harvey” Griffith, age 71, of Winder passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018. Survivors include his mother Laverne S. Griffith; wife Margaret Mitchell; sons Steve Griffith and wife Lynn, Tony Griffith and wife Maletha, Jack Griffith and wife Sharon, and Jason Griffith and wife Jessica; daughters Hollie Dempsey and husband Scott, and Lisa Martin and husband Lonnie; brother Arthur Griffith and wife Margaret; sisters Joann Hall and husband Tim, Dot Chipman and husband Gerald, Jane Reed and husband Scott, and Vickie Valentine and husband Larry; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Samuel H. Griffith; sons Timothy Griffith and Shane Griffith. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, September 24, 2018 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
