Doris Harrison Brady, (1945-2023) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doris Harrison Brady on Tuesday, September 26th, 2023, at the age of 77. A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Doris was known for her work ethic, unending generosity, and love for her grandchildren and great-grandchild, Nathan. Born in Winder, Georgia on December 31, 1945, to Clarence and Della Harrison. Doris was the youngest of 5 siblings. . Doris had a successful career as a secretary for Winer Industries, where she worked for over 50 years. She was a committed member of the local church, and loved caring for her family. In 1963, she married the love of her life, Minren Lynois Brady, and together they raised their only child, Penny. Doris was a southern gospel singer, a servant to the community, and an avid home cook. She could often be found cooking her homemade biscuits for her family. She also traveled throughout the state of Georgia, singing in a southern gospel quartet. Doris is survived by her Husband, Minren Lynois Brady; her child, Penny Poff; her grandchildren, Austin, Jerad, and Kara Poff, and Austin and Jerad’s wives, Bea and Sydney Poff; her great[1]grandchild, Nathan Poff; and her brother, Guy Harrison. She is preceded in death by her Siblings, Mildred Waters, Caroline Brooks, Geraldine Phillips, and her parents, Clarence and Della Harrison. Visitation for friends and family will be held at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Dacula, Ga. on October 3, 2023, at 4:30pm. A memorial service will immediately follow visitation at 5:30pm.
