Jason Sasha Melyanets

In Loving Memory of Jason Sasha Melyanets
July 25, 1998 – June 9 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jason Sasha Melyanets, who was born on July 25, 1998, to Alexander and Maria Melyanets. Jason was the second of seven siblings—Daniel, {Jason}, Alena, Sam, Victoria, Ella, and Jacob. God gave him over 26 years of life. He brightened the room wherever he would go, bringing joy and warmth to everyone.

Jason grew up in Snellville, Georgia. He went to the Brookwood school district and graduated high school there in May of 2016. After graduation Jason worked in the family cabinet and countertop business. From childhood and into his young adult life church community always played a big part of his life. He received water baptism on June 7, 2015.

Jason had a love for God and a love for people. He began to go on missions to Mexico with church community from Tennessee in 2017, and in 2018 he went to bible school in Portland Oregon where the school would then send him on extended trips to Yucatan Mexico to build a church and strengthen the Christian community there.

Jason’s missionary career ended in 2024 when he came home to spend time with family. Jason spent that last year working, with family and friends, participating in the local church community and making plans for the future. In May 2025 Jason was diagnosed with brain cancer, and God prepared him to take him home.

Jason is survived by his father and mother, Alexander and Maria Melyanets, his siblings Daniel, Alena, Sam, Victoria and Ella, brother in law Andrey, sisters in law Ena and Julie,  niece Adeline, Grandparents and many cousins. Jason will be deeply missed, until we meet in heaven.
