Robert John Garrett, Age 74, of Dacula, Georgia (formerly of Jackson County, Georgia), passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2015 to his favorite duck hunting spot, where his dog, Drake, is waiting on him. He is survived by his family consisting of Carol, wife of 54 years; sons Andrew, Michael, Matthew and daughter, Shannon Lambert, including their much loved spouses and especially his ten grandchildren. Bob loved Jack Daniel Whiskey and M&M candies. Bob was the oldest of 8 children (consisting of 6 brothers and a sister). Born in California, he worked for grocery stores from the age of thirteen. He joined the sales team at Ralston Purina Pet Food Company in 1967. Moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 1970 and then onto Atlanta in 1972. Bob enjoyed music and singing. He sang in choirs and as a soloist at church, weddings, funerals, and even at the Atlanta Hawks and Atlanta Braves games. A memorial service will be at a later date. Carol, as you know, Bob and I were great friends. I will miss him very,very much. I have had health problems that prevented me from coming to see Bob and I hate that I didn’t see him before this happened. My prayers are with you and all of the family. God is now in charge and may He bless the entire family.
Carol, Bob was a great friend and boss…always fun,always fair. We had some great times together that I will always remember. He always made Margie feel like she was part of the program too. We got to have lunch with Bob and Andy a few weeks ago and Bob seemed to really enjoy himself. We talked about ole times and he laughed about them. This is really tough on you and the family and if there is ever anything I can do..please call. Love you guys….Ken & Margie.

I am lucky to have known Bob as a boss, a mentor and most of all, a friend.
As a young, green sales representative, Bob taught me and many others how to sell one-on-one by role playing and listening to buyer needs. Always moving forward, Bob led by example. And helped me and many others like me along the way.
Jackie and I miss him very much, but his memory will continue to enhance and bless our lives.
