Sharon Annette Beasley, age 70, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Hospital in Braselton. She was born in Columbus, GA on June 20, 1950 and matriculated to Alabama and California before settling down and calling Auburn, GA home. She accomplished many things including serving as a board member with the Auburn Dixie Youth Baseball League for two years and retired as a bus driver after 14 years of employment with the Barrow County School System. Sharon was an ovarian cancer survivor. Survivors include her husband Gary Johnson; her children Jerri Robinson, Connie Colwell, Anthony Johnson, Jillian Johnson, Brandi Beasley and Kori Johnson; grandchildren Gary Colwell, Samantha Jones, Jeffrey Elmore, Megan Elmore, Nathan Pritchett, Blake Brock, Brittney Colwell and Kendall Owens; four great grandchildren and a host of other relatives. A Celebration of Life will be held 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Auburn First Baptist Church, 1385 6th Avenue, Auburn, GA, 30011. Pastor Chris Parkin will be officiating. The family will receive friends at 5:30 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children at lovetotherescue.org.
