Alfred Davis, age 73, of Monroe passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013. He is survived by his sons James Lee Davis and Linda of Bishop, Michael Keith Davis of Monroe; daughters Sheila E. Thompson of Monroe, Melissa Hopkins and John of Covington; brothers Phil Davis of FL, Herman Davis and Carol of Loganville, Ricky Davis and Genevia of Athens and sister Mae Pullins and Wesley of Covington; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Ruby Davis and daughter Teresa Ann Rogers. Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Bethabra Baptist Church Cemetery, 1054 Old Thompson Mill Rd., Hoschton, GA 30548. Rev. John Briscoe will be officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel.
