Beverly Gene ‘Jackie’ Davis

Beverly Gene ‘Jackie’ Davis, 83, of Braselton, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at her home on the family farm, surrounded by her children. Jackie was the wife of the late Spencer E. Davis and was a member of Chestnut Mountain Church.

Survivors include her children; daughter and son-in-law, Jerri and John Oram, Suwanee; daughter, Laurie Stowe, Flowery Branch; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Lisa Davis, Braselton; daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Rick Hulsey, Braselton; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Shane Sullards, Braselton. Survivors also include: 13 Grandchildren: Randy and Shellie Moreland, Marcus and Sarah Stowe, Chris and Jessica Stowe, Tifanie and Erik Slaymaker, Kasey Davis, Cally and Charles Witt, Spencer Davis Jr., Cody Peck, Kiralese, Kaden, and Kolter Sullards, Logan and Conner Hulsey along with 12 Great Grandchildren: Harley, Brody, Noah, Gracelyn, Davis, Matthew, Joshua, Jackson, Scarlet, Mason, Gresham, and Will.

Jackie was preceded in death by her Father, Harry S. Manry, her daughter, Sharon Lea, her Mother, Mary E. ‘Gigi’ Pierce and her husband of 58 years, Spencer E. Davis.

Jackie’s greatest love was her family. Her desire was always to see her children happy and thriving. She was thought of as their angel on earth, and they are so grateful for her Christian faith and the legacy she and their dad left them. Words could not sufficiently express what she means to them.

In her early years battling cancer, she prayed through it, pushed through the treatments and still found space to encourage and think more of those around her. She was a prayer warrior, praying over her loved ones as needed or requested. She faithfully served at Chestnut Mountain Church as a mentor to many. She shared scripture and made it a habit to put it to memory. Even a few days prior to passing she could still quote her memorized scriptures.

After Spencer’s passing, she enjoyed her flower garden and her ‘Rose Cottage’ home where she could sit on the porch watching her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren playing on the farm. She generously fed the beautiful birds and watched them and the pastured horses grazing from her living room window. She loved doting on her two cats that she rescued as babies, Lizzy and Prissy.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 30, from 1 – 3 p.m. at Chestnut Mountain Church, West Lobby. Jackie’s remains will be scattered at the Memory Garden on the Family Farm.

Jackie’s grandson has been one of 19 in the world diagnosed with E.A.R.S and his therapies and longevity has always been close to her heart, so in lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions please be made to the Davis Slaymaker Medical Venmo Fund (@Davis-Medical-Fund).

“Her children rise up and call her blessed…Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.” Prov. 31:28-29

  1. Remembering your family with prayers and memories. I went to Spencer’s & Jackie’s wedding when I was about 10 years old. I thought she was the most beautiful bride in the world with her red hair & soft voice. Thankful you have the assurance she is now in the presence of our Lord & reunited with many loved ones already there.
    In His Love,
    Kayren Haney Clark
