Bobbie Michelle Owenby, age 46, of Dacula, Georgia departed this life on Saturday, December 31, 2022. She was born Bobbie Michelle Baughcum to her father Thomas Baughcum and mother Doris Mathis on May 22, 1976 in Lawrenceville, Georgia. It’s almost impossible to account for the impact that Michelle had to all who knew her. Both tough and sweet, she was the tomboy girl next door, the reliable sister, the wise and loyal friend, the maverick co-worker, the silly aunt, the loving mother, and the devoted wife. She showed her heart for others in everything she did, and did so with grounded integrity. She was authentic, honest, straightforward, and quick with a joke. Her kindness and penchant for entertaining is well known among her co workers in the hospitality industry. Her zeal for life is legend among her family, to whom she was deeply devoted. Having moved away to Oklahoma and making a life there many years, she moved back to Dacula to take care of her ailing father. Many knew her and her husband Johnny as “The perfect couple.” Together, they made a rich and loving life. All told, Michelle was the lion’s heart of this happy blended family, and she will be sorely missed, but fondly remembered. She is survived by her husband Johnny Owenby, children Summer, Alaina, Brian, and Alyssa, father Thomas Baughcum, sister Melissa Rice, brother Tommy Baughcum, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral Services will be held 7:00 pm Friday, January 13, 2023 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, January 13, 2023 at the funeral home.
