Bonnie Wright Pate, age 53, of Braselton, was born on October 16, 1967, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She went to Heaven on September 30, 2021. Her sweet, loving sensitive spirit was a gift to those who knew her and loved her. Bonnie graduated from Pike Liberal Arts School in Troy, Alabama. She attended Auburn University in Montgomery, Alabama, and graduated with a degree in Accounting. She enjoyed a long and successful career with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, working as an auditor and manager. Next to her family and friends, she adored her dogs, Daisy and Marley, who sit facing the door waiting for her to walk in with “treats.” She is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Pate; son Collin Pate both of Braselton; mother Barbara Petry; brothers Charles Petry both of AL, James Hart Petry of CO; her gracious mother-in-law Carolyn Pate; sister-in-law Joy Pierce; her life-log friend Kerry Hargarten all of AL; devoted friends Mario and Mary Ann Butler of GA. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Bernice Bell Cafield. Our family and friends would like to express our sincere appreciation to the Doctors and Nurses in the Intensive Care Unit at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville, who kept us informed and provided compassionate care for Bonnie. Many thanks to Collin’s friends and classmates who provide immediate, on-going support and with maturity beyond their years. Bonnie loved having Collin’s friends in their home. She was gifted with the ability to communicate with them and “love to hear them laugh.” A Memorial Service will be held 3:45 pm Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the Braselton Christian Academy. Memorial gifts may be made to the Scholarship Fund or to the Humane Society of Jackson County, Jefferson, GA. The memorial service for Bonnie was arranged and hosted by Mrs. Penney Smith, Headmistress and supportive staff of the Braselton Christian Academy, 401 Zion Church Road, Braselton, GA, 30517. Our family was lavishly surrounded by their abundant love.

I am so very sorry to find this. She was my childhood friend in Tuscaloosa, we were inseparable for some years before my family moved away. I last saw her in NYC in the late nineties: we spent an evening together. All my love and sincere condolences to her family.
