James Lewis Hopkins, age 57 of Hawkinsville, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022. James’ world was his family. He loved his wife Tammy and spoiled her with everything he had. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, and going to the mountains. He enjoyed going to see his son Zack play baseball. His favorite thing to do was tormenting his kids and grandchildren. He would wake up every day wondering what he could do to torment them, and he did a very good job at it. He also loved his fur babies Lexi, Sassy, and Tabby. He is survived by his wife Tammy Hopkins of Hawkinsville; children Nicole Hopkins, Zack Hopkins both of Winder, Ashley Smallwood and Brandon Lieb of Punta Gorda, FL, Brittaney Davis of Greenville, SC, Kenny Gilley and Kim Stewart of Punta Gorda, FL; sister Emma Seabolt of Hoschton; grandchildren Mason Sewell, Violet Hopkins both of Winder, Andrea Masalko, Tyler Masalko, Jacob Masalko, Rylie Stewart, Easton Gilley, Eli Gilley all of Punta Gorda, FL, Logan Jackson of Winder, and Noah James of Greenville, SC. James was preceded in death by his parents Charlene and Grady Hopkins; siblings Gail Wheeler, Barbara Evans, Evelyn Myers, Katy Sanders, Grady Hopkins, Robert Hopkins, Mark Hopkins, Karen Metcalf, James L. Hopkins, Patricia Denny; daughter Courtney Smallwood and grandson Baby Nate. A Memorial Service will be held 6:00 pm Friday, October 14, 2022 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will be officiating. Interment cremation. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made towards the memorial service.
