Mr. Jerry Frank Waddell, age 80, of Hoschton, GA passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Waddell was born on February 9, 1944 in Jackson County to the late, Scott and Ann McCain Waddell. In addition to his parents, Mr. Waddell was preceded in death by his wife, Kaye Carter Waddell; daughter, Wendy Waddell and son-in-law, Eddie Maloch.
He was a member of Ebenezer Methodist Church in Jefferson. Jerry loved hunting, cooking, farming and spending time with family. He retired from John H. Harland and served as Chairman of the Jackson County Board of Commissioners for eight years.
Mr. Waddell is survived by his son, Lee Waddell (Kim) of Hoschton; daughters, Kerri Waddell of Jefferson and Shanna Maloch of Carnesville; sister, Janice Kesler (Theron) of Jefferson; brother, George Waddell (Judy) of Blairsville; grandchildren, Kaylea Ward (Sean), Tanner Waddell, Savannah Waddell, Gavyn Bruce, Tucker Maloch, Maxx Maloch, Doug Maloch and Brittany Maloch; and great-grandchildren, Parker Ward, Ashlee Ward, Grady Ward, Dixon Lewis, Mia Miller, Rayland Standridge, Britton Mcleroy, Hadlee Hill, and Stetson Maloch.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, July 29 at 12 P.M. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Jefferson with Mr. Charlie Howington officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 A.M. until 12 P.M. on Monday.
