Jesse “Sonny” Jewel Garrett, Jr., age 66, of Auburn passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017. Survivors include his wife Deborah Brown Garrett; sons Jewel William “Chad” Garrett and Jesse “JJ” Garrett, III and wife Jessica; daughters Victoria Crowe and husband Mark, Heather Ann Ferguson, Angela Perkins and husband Lewis and Jessica Blackstock and husband Tony; sister Tina Parks and husband Billy; 17 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents Jesse Jewell, Sr. and Dorothy Wall Garrett. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Sammy Everett officiating. Interment will follow at the Hoschton City Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the funeral home. I remember when Debbie brought you home the first time I met you. You were bigger than life! Loud, arrogant, obnoxious, funny, caring, loyal, stubborn, tell it like it is, patriot, family man…this is how I remember you. You made an impact on everyone who met you and you will be missed.
