Jimmie Shedd, Sr., age 81, of Winder passed away Monday, March 4, 2013. Jimmie had a passion for sports. He umpired baseball and softball in Winder. He loved his family, life and people. He is survived by his sons Jimmie Shedd, Jr. and Zita of Auburn, Sammie Shedd and Claudia of Winder, daughters Vickie Motes and Jerry of Winder, Beth Bentley and David of Lexington; brothers Billy Shedd and Flora of Winder, David Shedd and Gail of Winder and Clifton Shedd and Barbara of Winder; 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Jackie Shedd. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, March 8, 2013 at the chapel of Lawson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Barrow Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Cory Sexton will be officiating.
