Lawrence David Stancil, Sr., age 74, of Jefferson passed away Friday, July 12, 2019. Mr. Stancil loved his family, he enjoyed fishing and life itself. Survivors include his son Roy Stancil and wife Teresa of Arcade; brothers Larry Stancil and wife Shelby of Braselton, Billy Stancil and wife Louise of Arcade; sister Louise Longabaugh of Snellvile; grandchildren Roy, Devin, Dylan, David James, Amber, Shane, Shawn, Crystal and Chris; 13 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents Roy Stancil and Oree Martin Stancil; son David Stancil; brothers James Stancil, Hanes Stancil and sisters Jackie Motes and Betty Stancil. Memorial services will be held 6:00 pm Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. Everette Carlyle will be officiating.
