Lue Edith Downey, age 83, of Bethlehem passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015. Mrs. Downey was survived by her son Wayne Downey and wife Carole; granddaughters Kimberly Downey and Katelyn Downey; brother Burell Higgins and wife Billie Sue; sister Jewell Henderson. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Downey; parents Elbert and Annie Higgins; son Jimmy Lee Downey; brothers Elbert Higgins, Jr., Harry Higgins and Franklin Higgins; sisters Sarah Smith, Catherine Poole and Virginia Thaxton. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, June 8, 2015 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. Apostle Fred Musser and Chaplain Jeff Clegg will be officiating.
