Lula Ann Turner, age 54, of Braselton passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013. Ann, was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer 21 years ago, and has fought a long battle having the joy of it going into remission. Due to her long term battle, she and her doctors have made many break throughs in cancer research and treatment, because of her record breaking survival, many others will not have to suffer and lives will be saved. Ann was a true soldier, with more strength and valor than most. If you knew her, you loved her, she will be missed. She was survived by her husband Chris Turner; sons Gary Smith (Jaime) of Alpharetta, Christopher Turner of Braselton; daughter Laura Greathouse (Jason) of Atlanta; mother Rosie Elliott; brothers Conway Elliott of Gainesville, Tom Elliott (Tammy) of Gainesville; sister Icie Johnson of Gainesville and grandchildren Ashley, Mariah and great-granddaughter Gracie. She is preceded in death by her father Clyde Elliott. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Northeast Church,2001 Cherry Drive, Braselton, GA, 30517. Rev. Russell Harbin and Rev. Jack Chalmers will be officiating. Interment will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, September 8, 2013 at StraightWay Baptist Church,4624 Claude Peck Road, Gainesville, GA 30506.
