Mark Steven Battles, age 58, of Dacula passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012. Mark, a devoted husband and father, he loved his work in the a jewelry business for over 40 years, his family and his girls (the dogs). Mark and his family are members of St. Matthews Catholic Church. He is survived by his mother Lounell Battles of Columbus; his wife of 29 years Veronica Neuendorf Battles; son Neil Steven Battles of Dacula, daughter Alissa Marie Battles of Dacula; sister Jo Ann Hall of Auburn, AL; brother Bobby Battles and Sheila of Tolberton and Roger Battles of Woodstock; sister Carol Smith and Tommy of Columbus. He is preceded in death by his father Gerald Battles, his mother- in- law Charlotte Neuendorf and father- in- law Edgar Neuendorf and brother- in- law Harold Hall who loved Mark greatly. A Mass will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at St. Matthews Catholic Church, 25 Wilkins Road SW, Winder, GA, 30680. A viewing will be held 30 minutes prior to Mass. Father Gilbert Exumé will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Neil Battles, Roger Battles, Bobby Battles, Tommy Smith, Dave Boyea and Andy Russell. The family will receive friends 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM Monday, December 17, 2012 at St. Matthews Catholic Church.
