Mary Frances Burton, age 77, of Monroe passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016. Mary loved the Lord, gospel music, her family, gardening, puzzles and canning. She helped in the clothes closet program in Kentucky with the baptist church. She is survived by her son Richard Burton of Monroe; daughters Frances Elaine Burton of Monroe, Lura Burton of Monroe; brother Tommy Cunningham of KY; Glenda Lynn and husband Glenn of KY, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter Linda Marie Burton. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Hicks officiating. The family will receive friends 9:00 am to 12:00 pm Sunday, April 24, 2016 at the funeral home.
