Michael Christopher Fortner, age 44 of Hoschton passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024. Michael served in the Marines following father footsteps whom was in the Army. He is survived by his mother Louise Fortner of Hoschton; grandmother Marion Gregory Hayes of Hoschton; wife Kristy Fortner; sons Zachary, Bradly, Nicholas; brothers Shane Fortner and wife Pamela of Jefferson, Brandon Fortner of Hoschton, David Fortner of Hoschton; sisters Brandy Elliot and husband Andy of Jefferson, April Johnson and husband Randy of Spring Hill, FL; aunt Connie Long of Hoschton; uncle Harry Fortner of Winder; nieces and nephews Chad Fortner, Gary Elliott, Aaron Elliott, Mercedes Neeman, Jameson Elliott; cousins Charles Fortner of Pendergrass, Star Landrum of Commerce, Stephanie Turpin of Homer. Michael was preceded in death by his father Larry Fortner; grandfather David Hayes; grandparents Grace Hayes and Pinky Fortner. A Funeral Service will be held 10:30 am Friday, April 26, 2024 at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. The family will receive friends 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment Georgia National Cemetery.
