Mrs. Alma Leo Vandiver, age 86, of Braselton passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011. She loved her family and was a devoted mother and mother in-law. She loved gardening and attended and loved The Hoschton Church of God of Prophecy. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at The Hoschton Church of God of Prophecy, 8187 Pendergrass Road, Hoschton, Ga., 30548. Officiating Pastor Thomas Holmes and Pastor David Motes. Interment Walnut Fork Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Monday, November 14, 2011 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at The Hoschton Church of God of Prophecy. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty three years Drewery B. Vandiver. She was survived by her son, Harold D. Vandiver and wife Carol of Braselton; daughters Rosie Mae Clark and husband Walter of Winder; Imojean Mull of Jefferson, Jonette Storey and husband Walter of Jefferson; brothers Virgle H. Baker and wife Artie; sisters Marie Mills and husband Ralph, Leila Moore and husband Herman all of Phil Campbell Alabama; 15 grandchildren, 34 Great Grandchildren, 6 Great Great Grandchildren. Mrs. Vandiver is also preceded in death by her sons Hoyt Vandiver and Mark Daniel Vandiver and daughter Lisa Vandiver.
