Philip Wayne Sprayberry

Phillip Wayne Sprayberry, 78, a beloved figure of Hoschton Georgia sadly left our world on February 21, 2025 under hospice care at his residence after a long fought battle with Alzheimer’s.  His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.  He had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path.  He was known for his company, Phillip W. Sprayberry Inc., a commercial real estate business of which he owned for over 50 years. Born January 1947 in Dekalb County GA, he was the oldest of three siblings, Robyn and Jeff – born to Robert Luther Sprayberry and Frances Eleanor Bowman.  He attended Avondale High School and later attended Georgia State University where he obtained his degree in Real Estate. He also served his country in the Army from 1969-1975.  Phil was extremely intelligent and resourceful, a man of kindness and integrity, loved living life, and loved the Real Estate Business.  Phil loved God and inspired others to live life to the fullest and to be grateful for each day we are given.  He is survived by his loving wife Cindy Sprayberry, his son Kevin Sprayberry (Stacey James) and three granddaughters Madison, Hunter and Coco, and his beloved Mini Schnauzers Lexi and Baron.  He is also survived by his sister Robyn Bradley, brother Jeff Sprayberry, Jennifer Sprayberry, nephew Oliver Sprayberry, his aunt Pat Edwards and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his youngest son William Robert Sprayberry.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be sent to the Alzheimer’s association “In loving memory of Phillip Wayne Sprayberry”.

Phil’s presence was a gift to all who knew him. His memory will forever be in our hearts.

  1. Although we didn’t get to know Phil for long, his kind spirit shined through. We know his family will miss him terribly and we are praying for them.

  2. Meeting Phil for the first time awhile back, I could tell he was a gentle soul. Seeing him again when I came to your home about the shades, he was very sweet and stood along side you, smiling as we spoke. May he rest in peace & may God bring you sweet closure on loosing him . He will stay forever in your heart….

  3. Phil was a friend for 55 years and an excellent business business partner. I owe much of my success in the real estate business to his insight. He will be missed by many. May he rest in peace.
