Ray Thomas McCormick, Jr., age 52, of Winder passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014. Ray loved to fish, hunt and go boating. He had a passion for his special needs children and helping others. His family and grandchildren were the love of his life. Ray was a school bus driver for Gwinnett County Public Schools. He was survived by his wife Marlene McCormick; parents Conner Z. and Sarah A. Webb of Hephzibah; sons David Sherwood of Lawrenceville, Clifton Clark of Virginia Beach, Ray Thomas McCormick, III of Winder; daughter Tanya Gillgren and husband Geoff of Lawrenceville; brothers Don R. Grant, Jr. of Hephzibah; sisters Michelle Mobley and husband Chris of Hephzibah and Tammy Michelle Moyer and husband Mike; 10 grandchildren; many loved nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held 4:00 pm Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Cory Sexton will be officiating. In lieu of flowers a love offering may be made to the family.
