Rebecca “Becky” Ann McNeal, age 86, of Gainesville passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 31, 2024. Becky was a member of Flowery Branch First Baptist Church for over 50 years, she was also a member of the Eastern Star. Becky was a former City Clerk of Flowery Branch and then retired from Sam’s Club. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, William Larry McNeal; daughters, Lisa McNeal and Donna Grainger; son-in-law Daniel Grainger and brother Larry “Bug” Joe Barber. She is survived by sisters, Poochie and Ray Nix of Gainesville and Kathy and Glen Simpson of Gainesville; brother Rusty Barber, Jr. of Hoschton; grandchildren; Andrew and Judith Grainger of Dahlonega and Samantha and Paul DeBoer of Rockford Michigan; great-grandchildren Hayden Grainger, Vivian Mitchell, Audrey Grainger, and Delia DeBoer. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2024 at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Bill Compton and Rev Michael Moore. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Ronald McDonald House and or to the Flowery Branch First Baptist Church building fund.
