Rocky Troy Wonsey born on July 19, 1965 in Rockledge, Florida. He passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2017. Rocky was preceded in death by his parents, Faye and Ernie Wonsey, Woodville, FL. He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Michele R. Wonsey; son, Robert Wonsey (Ashley Bordeaux); daughter, Paige Wonsey Ferguson and son-in-law, Wesley Ferguson. Rocky had two grandchildren, Kristyn and Wesley Wonsey-Ferguson, whom he loved deeply! Rocky’s most beloved sister, Ronotta (Robert) Teegan from Wakula, FL; brothers, Cory (LeeAnne), Kirk (Kim) Wonsey and Billy (Kelli) Riley of FL, and Dirk Wonsey, Atl; sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Ricky Stewart, Suwanee; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Lee and Jackie Rogers, Richmond Hill, and Chuck and Jody Martin of GA; Rocky was a proud uncle to a host of wonderful nieces and nephews, Tyler Teegan, Wakulla, FL, Mark, Dakota and Colton Wonsey, Woodville, FL, William, Brianna, Jessica and Ryleigh Stewart, GA, Aaryn Rogers, Cody and Dallas Martin of GA. Rocky had a special love for his father and mother-in-law, Joe (and Geraldine) Rogers, Suwanee; Aunt Alice and Cecil Harrison and Uncle Bobby Hollis; a host of cousins in Michigan, especially Patsy Jamie and Dale, Jr., and Thrush and Holly Stover; and deeply loved Aunt Eunice Bowers and uncle Rodger Wonsey. Rocky leaves behind many friends he loved and who made the last few years full of great times and love. Special friends, Sharon and Phil Bryan, Randall and Brenda Cash, Ronnie Givens, and Sandie Romer, Martha Martin, John and Sorita Burrell all made sure Rocky knew he was loved. Rocky was an over the road truck driver for many years, receiving many awards for safety. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Osteen officiating.
