On Saturday, April 27, 2024, Shirley Johnson loving wife and mother of three children passed away at the age of 87. Shirley was born on December 28, 1936 in Murphy, N.C. She was a housewife and was married to Hoyt Johnson. They raised two sons, Eddie and Mike along one daughter Sue. Shirley enjoyed dancing, bowling, and spending time with her family. She was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her children Eddie Johnson and wife Rhonda, Sue Duncan of Winder , and Mike Johnson of Auburn; brothers Danny Ballew and Larry Ballew; sisters Joyce Sosobee of Winder, Pat Iler of Lawrenceville; grandchildren Tina Allen and husband Wes, Chad Johnson and wife Erika, Jason Johnson and wife Kathy, Matthew Johnson, Jamie Johnson and wife Kaylin, Nathan Johnson, Cody Johnson; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Hoyt Johnson; parents Clyde and Letha Ballew; brothers Gwinn Ballew and Bud Ballew; son in law Timmy Duncan; brother in law Frankie Iler. A Graveside service will be held 2:00 pm, April 30, 2024 at Gwinnett Memorial Park (925 US Highway 29 Lawrenceville, Ga., 30046). Officiating will be Bo Weviel (Stevie Roberts).
