William David Sandstrom, age 66, of Braselton was born on Nov. 17, 1949, and passed away on May 3, 2016 from complications following a cerebral hemorrhage. Depending on when you met Bill, you may remember him in a way quite special to you. “Billy” Sandstrom developed his dedication to hard work and his love for farming as a young boy in Jamestown, New York. “Pastor Bill” served many churches over the years, from his first jobs in Oilton, Oklahoma and Punxsutawney, PA to churches throughout Western New York and Pennsylvania. “Trucker Bill” hit the road for a few years, and through the winter months many began to know him as “Santa Bill.” He was a joy to thousands of kids and their parents as he took his position as the right jolliest of elves in shopping centers all across the country for over a dozen years. In whatever way you knew this very special man, we trust you’ll celebrate him for who he was: A loving and devoted husband to Peggy for almost 47 years, a loving father to Jeff and Ami, and the best Bumpa that J. Michael, Sadiella, and Stella could have hoped for. Remember him as a loyal friend, a devoted Christ-follower, a brother, a faithful pastor, and a joy-filled colleague. And may you hear the echo of that laugh—the laugh that brought so much joy to people of every age! May his legacy of faith and friendship live on in all of our hearts. Please join us as we celebrate Bill’s life on Sunday, June 5th, at 4:00p.m. The service will be held at New Beginnings Church of God, 13226 Leslie Road , Meadville, PA 16335. Arrangements by Lawson Funeral Home, 4532 Hwy 53, Hoschton, GA, 30548, www.lawsonfuneralhome.org, 706-654-0966.
