Earl Ford Gowder, Jr., age 71, of Winder passed away Monday, October 29, 2018. He was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Winder. Survivors include his step mother Patricia Gowder; son Barry Gowder and wife Susan of Braselton; grandsons Brian Gowder and wife Meghan of VA, and Matthew Gowder of Braselton; great grandchildren Zane and Dylann; cousin Edwin Smith Marty of Vinnings. He is preceded in death by his father Earl Gowder, Sr. and mother Eloise Whidby Gowder. The family will receive friends 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. Butch gave me a start in aviation when I needed a career change the most. I will always be greatfull to him for it.
I always enjoyed working with him and wish to extend my condolences to his family and loved ones
Although we only knew him a short time he was a great man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
