Wendell Gooch Sr., age 71 of Braselton passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024. Wendell loved to hunt, fish, all animals, fixing and working on things, music, and most of all his family. Wendell was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Patricia Gooch; sons Wendell Jr. and wife Gillian, Eric and wife Susan; daughter Malena; brothers Donald and Leroy; sister Genelle; grandchildren Ashley, Jared, Jeffrey, Jessica, Tyler, Tacey, Trevin, Seth, Blake; great grandchildren Dixie, Tylor, Kacey, Kynlee, Rylee, Hayden, and Felix. Wendell was preceded in death by his brothers Raydean, Eldon, Marvin, Wayne, Gerald, Clinton, Ronald, and Melvin. A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00pm Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Broad Lawn Memorial Garden in Buford. Officiating will be Pastor Calvin Gooch and Leroy Gooch. The family will receive friends at 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at the funeral home.
