Christopher Wayne Clay

On Tuesday, January 17, 2023, Christopher Wayne Clay, loving son of ShastaDe Butler Ferguson and Calvin Clay, passed away at the young age of 31. Chris loved to travel to new places and experience all the different joys of life, never letting any obstacle that life offered get him down. He enjoyed all genres of music and was the life of the party everywhere he went. Always carrying a smile, faith in God, and a positive attitude as he traveled to Florida, Ohio, Michigan, New York, Colorado, Texas, and California. Chris loved spending time and talking with his family every chance he could, spending most of his life surrounded by his loved ones. Christopher “Chris” Clay is survived by his Father Calvin Clay, Mother ShastaDe Butler Ferguson, and stepfather Stacey Ferguson; his Brothers Bobby “Mike” Clay and Brandon Clay; his niece Sarah-Ann Clay and nephew Bobby Clay Jr.; His maternal grandmother Elaine Couch; his aunts Charlotte “Chester” Couch and Melissa “Dawnie” Couch; His uncle William Clay and wife Joann Clay; his aunt Gwinnell “Tootsie” Clay and uncle William “Billy” Clay; his aunt Michelle Gillis and uncle Mike Gillis; his cousins Melissa Ann Clay, William “Sean” Clay, Brieana Clay, Franklin “Frankie” Clay, James “J.R.” Clay, Sarah Couch, Jacob Couch, Amanda Lynn Rutledge; and several other Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
