Peggy Sue Samples

Peggy Sue Samples, age 67, of Hoschton passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Mrs. Samples was employed with the Gwinnett County Water Resources Department for 31 years. She loved making quilts as a hobby. She was survived by her son Ashley W. Samples and wife Sara of Hoschton; sister-in-laws Linda Pugh of Dawsonville and Judy Popham of Nelson; brother-in-laws Junior White of Fairmont and Carl Popham of Ball Ground; sister Shelia Carter and husband Tommy of Lawrenceville; grandson Aaron Jesse Samples; nephews Jeffery Carter, Chase Carter; Michael Carter and wife Julie and Lucas Carter; and niece Kalie Carter. And several other nieces and nephews also survive. She is preceded in death by her husband Leonard Weldon Samples; her parents William and Dorothy McCart. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, May 1, 2015 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at the Hoschton City Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the funeral home.   1. I remember Peggy Samples back in the early 90″s when I worked for Gwinnett County Public Utilities. Peggy was a great soul and a wonderful co-worker that will be truely missed by many. What a character she was. I am so sorry to hear this news and praying for the family now and in days to come.

  2. I worked with Peggy for several years at Gwinnett County. She was always a pleasure to work with. We shared lots of laughs during the years we worked together.
