Philip Anthony Maresca, Jr.

Philip Anthony Maresca, Jr., age 63, of Hoschton passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015.  Born December 29, 1951 he was the son of the late Philip Maresca, Sr. and Lucy Destefano.  Mr. Maresca was a long time co-owner of Natures 5th Season retail store in Gwinnett County, GA and finished his career with Publix Supermarket.  Philip had a love of cooking, gardening, playing guitar and painting.  He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  Most people that met Phil would say that they were influenced by or remember his love of music.  His cooking was amazing, he could whip up a meal off the top of his head and it was delicious.  He grew most of the organic vegetables for his meals.  He is survived by his wife Sandy; daughter Carrie; brothers Mark and David; sister Stephanie; grandchildren Alexandria, Gavin and Samantha; and a numerous nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his grandson Francis.  In lieu of flowers the family request a donation to either Hospice of Northeast GA, 2150 Limestone Pkwy, #222, Gainesville, GA, 30501 or Pup and Cat Rescue, P.O.
